KMC Healing Hearts is bringing stillbirthday learning and healing to the Kaiserslautern area of Germany!
Sternenkinder mothers are welcome. These two, day-long events will help bridge gaps between civilian and local bereaved mothers, as well as offer advanced skills, methods and practices among both military and local healthcare professionals in responding to perinatal demise and the grieving family. The speaker is American but there will be help in navigating the language barrier.

Learning Workshop:
Perinatal & Allied Healthcare & interested individuals
Doula für Geburts- und Trauerbegleitung {Birth & Bereavement Doula®}
Professionals and other individuals who support families during pregnancy, birth and/or postpartum are all invited to attend this workshop and learning presentation hosted by KMC Healing Hearts and presented by stillbirthday founder, Heidi Faith.
Individuals with no prior training, who simply desire to learn more about offering compassionate, educated support are also invited to attend.
We’ll spend the morning exploring the deeper meaning of perinatal and postpartum bereavement, pregnancy and infant loss cross-culturally, the barriers to comprehensive support for families meeting with both birth and bereavement, and through our exploration we’ll identify how our own beliefs about birth and bereavement may impact the families we serve.
Into the afternoon we’ll identify foundational principles that become the core of supporting families giving birth in any trimester and in any outcome, as well as begin to strengthen our skills in applying these principles into relevant situations.
Every workshop attendee also receives a complimentary enrollment into the full, comprehensive doula certification program, at a session determined by the attendee (we’ll talk about session selection at the workshop. The earliest certification session begins Monday, April 5, 2015, which compliments our time together quite nicely!).

Love Wildly for healing mothers and spouses
What is Love Wildly?
Stillbirthday created Love Wildly as an opportunity for mothers to find a refuge on the journey of grief, as a way to reprieve and reflect, as well as to harvest new skills and gather new tools for the journey ahead.
If you are a mother who has experienced pregnancy, infant or young child death, you are invited to Love Wildly.
If your partner would like to attend as well, we will have a healing activity for him and he can be involved in the story sharing time as well!
Who is Hosting and Presenting this event?
Host
- The KMC Love Wildly is hosted by KMC Healing Hearts, which is a community program offering doula services to KMC families giving birth in any trimester and in any outcome, including full term joyful birth, miscarriage, stillbirth, emergency births, NICU transfers, and what many mothers call “rainbow” births – a joyful, live birth when the mother has previously endured pregnancy and infant loss. KMC Healing Hearts provides this support to any mother within the Ramstein area including KMC enlisted or spouses, as well as native local mothers.
Presenter
- stillbirthday founder Heidi Faith is visiting from the US to guide us during this enriching time of healing
