He didn’t grieve our babies the way I did. He was sad, but he seemed to come to resolution a lot quicker than I did. He was more concerned with my health and well being than the baby.
He would sit in her room and gently and lovingly hold her stuffed animals. Just like me, he missed the weight of her, her smell, and her sweetness. He searched for any bit of her he could find throughout our daily lives. He cares for her, still, in such amazing ways. I was out running errands one afternoon and I passed the cemetery where she is buried. He was sweeping her stone and sprucing up the area. I don’t know why it surprises me, but it still does. Maybe because he remembers and seems to think of her more than I do.
